Did you ever see girls wrestling? It happened in China and these girls are hot and sexy!

17-year-old Chinese girl beaten and raped; Video on Chinese web

The Chinese web is astir with the news of a video showing a 17-year-old girl being repeatedly beaten by a group of girls and raped by four boys. A year after the actual events, a daily Chinese newspaper relates the story.
On July, 3rd, a Mr Xiong contacts the Chinese daily newssite nndaily.com and tells them about the video: "I hope you will look into that." A journalist watches the video, showing a girl being held down by a group of girls. Attached to the pics, a message: "Today I watched 7-minute video clip, apparently put together by students from Kaiping school. The sequence shows a girl undergoing sexual violence..." Among the students, the journalist counts 6 girls and 4 boys, and two of them are naked. They use the Kaiping dialect (Guangdong province). The journalist also spots the school uniform. One may wonder why it took so long for the police to get hold of such a video: apparently, it had been online since January, after being exchanged via cell phones.

The following facts have been reported: the young girl had made some unkind remark to the girls, who found her in an internet bar, dragged her outside, took her clothes off, beat her up, then brought her to a hotel and called up 4 boys. While the boys were raping the victim, the girls held her down. They then proceeded to beat her again, forcing the victim to beat herself and to walk straight.
The 4 boys have since been arrested, as well as some of the girls from the video. As it turned out, some of them have had prior records with the police.

H.S. Tsien: Father of rockets and spaceflight

Leading Scientist Qian Xuesen passed away at 98

Leading Scientist Qian Xuesen passed away at 98

Qian Xuesen, a rocket scientist known to people all over the world passed away at 98 this morning in Beijing.Qian's  death left all Chinese in great sadness. It is said that China will hold grand activities in memory of this great scientist!
Qian was born in Hangzhou and studied in the United States at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and later at the California Institute of Technology, where he helped start the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
According to Iris Chang's book about Qian, Thread Of The Silkworm, he applied for U.S. citizenship in the 1950s but became a target of anti-communist investigations and was deported, returning to China in 1955, six years after Mao Zedong led the Communist Party to power.
With China's strategic missile program taking shape, Qian worked for the Ministry of Defense, setting up its first missile and rocket research institute which later helped start China's space program.
Qian's research helped lead to the successful explosion of China's first atomic bomb in October 1964, as well as to its first man-made satellite in 1970 and its first manned spacecraft in 2003, Xinhua said.In 1956, he wrote an influential essay which led to the establishment of the Commission of Aeronautical Industry to supervise scientific research into guided missiles and aeronautics. It was chaired by the famous Chinese marshal Nie Rongzhen.
In August, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Qian and praised him for dedicating his life to China's defense technologies.
"I'm trying to live to be 100 years old," Qian told him.
Here are some information about Qian Xuesen

Qian was born on December 11, 1911 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was the pioneer of Chinese astronautical technology and known as the "Father of Chinese Aerospace" and "King of Rocketry". Between 1946 and 1949 he acted as associate professor of aerospace and professor of aerodynamics in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). From 1949 to 1955, he was director and professor of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in the California Institute of Technology, before returning to China.

During his study in US, he co-authored the article "Comment and Initial Analysis of Long-Range Rocket", which laid a foundation for ground-to-ground missiles and sounding rocket theory. He also cooperated with others to put forward the hypersonic flow theory, a basis for the development of aerodynamics. In early 1956, Qian put forward a "Proposal on the Development of China's Aviation Industry for National Defense" that led to the setting up of the Aviation Industry Committee, a research facility for missiles and aeronautics. The same year, he was given responsibility for the establishment of China's first missile and rocket research institute--the Fifth Research Institute of the State Ministry of Defense. He was in charge of the program of "jet and rocket technology building", participated in the development of short-range missiles, medium-range missiles and China's first artificial earth satellite. He led the development of the medium-range nuclear missile and drew up the plan for short-range nuclear missiles, worked out China's first aeronautic development program and developed and established engineering cybernetics and systems science. Qian contributed much to the fields of aerodynamics, aviation engineering, jet propulsion, engineering cybernetics and physical mechanics. He was the founder and initiator of mechanics, systems engineering theory and applied research in modern China.
Between 1955 and 1964, he served successively as director-general and research fellow with the mechanics institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), deputy director-general and director-general with the fifth research institute of the State Defense Ministry. From 1965 to 1970, he was vice minister of the Seventh Ministry of Machinery Industry. From 1970 on, he acted as deputy director-general with the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and vice chairman of China Association for Science and Technology. He also held the posts of the first and second director-general of China Automation Association, honored president of Chinese Society of Astronautics, Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and Systems Engineering Society of China, executive director of CAS chairman's committee and CAS academician of the mathematics and physics division. Between 1986 and 1991, he served as chairman of the third Chinese Association for Science and technology. In May 1991, he was elected honorary chairman of the same organization. In April 1992, he was engaged as honorary president of CAS academic divisions. In June 1994, he became an academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering.
In 1957, Qian won first prize in natural science of CAS. In 1979, he was given the outstanding alumnus prize by California Institute of Technology and, in 1985, he was awarded first prize in the national advanced technology awards. In 1989, the title of "World's Celebrity for Sciences and Engineering" and honorary membership of International Technology Research Institute were conferred to him. In October 1991, he won the title of "China's outstanding scientist with outstanding achievements" and the nation's first-grade medal for heroic models conferred by the State Council and the Central Military Committee. In January 1995, he won the outstanding award of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation. In 1999, the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Committee decided to confer on him a "meritorious medal for the success of the atomic bomb, hydrogen bomb and artificial satellite programs. In October 2006, Qian won the "Top Honor for 50 years of China's Aviation Cause".

Lyrics

Stone shaker is looking fine
She's a heart-breaker every time
She never seems to realize
That someday she'll be crying too. Oo!

(She is) A sharp shooter that's moving fast
A slight cruiser loaded with gas
Slowing down to make a pass
You think it's gonna hit you,
So why not take a chance?

'Cause this is Hot Street (Burnin' It Up)
Just feel the night beat, yeah. (Fun on the run)
'Cause this is Hot Street (Ready or not)
Because the fantasy will never stop
on Hot Street - Oo!

A street walker when there's time to spare
Big spenders holding their share
A heart of gold, but no one cares. (No one seems to care)
Within their eyes

Some young lovers are laughing loud
And there's some old suckers trying to get down
The evening spins around and round (Spins around and round)
Yes, people of the night smoking through the dark

'Cause this is Hot Street (Burnin' It Up)
Just feel the night beat, yeah. (Fun on the run)
'Cause this is Hot Street (Ready or not)
Because the fantasy will never stop
on Hot Street - Oo!

(All night mover) Just trying to put a little fun in their lives
(Winners, losers) You see them standing on the corner in the neon light - Aow!
(Tonight) Oo! Yeah, yeah - Oo!

Some feeling you can't explain
It's such a hard feeling lying in bed's flame
The evening starts to fall again (Starts to fall again)
It's time to come alive
So why not take a chance?

'Cause this is Hot Street (Burnin' It Up)
Just feel the night beat, yeah. (Fun on the run)
'Cause this is Hot Street (Ready or not)
Because the fantasy will never stop
on Hot Street - Oo!
'Cause this is Hot Street (Burnin' It Up)
Just feel the night beat, yeah. (Fun on the run)
'Cause this is Hot Street (Ready or not)
Because the fantasy will never stop
on Hot Street - Oo!

(Burnin' it up)
(Fun on the run)
(Ready or not)
(The fantasy will never stop)

The Search Engine Wars and Advertisers:Google, Bing, and Yahoo

News about any online phenomenon is close to obsolete as soon as it is reported. This is especially true in reporting on the battle for supremacy between search engine leaders Google, Bing, and Yahoo!.
It is not surprising that it’s hard to get relevant information on what recent search market developments mean for the online advertising and SEO community. The search algorithms of these search services are updated daily; interactions between these companies are complex and constantly shifting; proposed corporate partnerships involve anti-trust issues and require the approval of a cautious government.
So, here’s a short history of the recent search engine battles, an overview of where things stand now, and what it might mean for advertisers and optimizers in the near future.

Recent Search Engine News
In February of 2008, Microsoft announces its proposal to acquire an uninterested Yahoo. Three months later, with Yahoo not making any movement toward the deal, Microsoft withdraws their proposal.
By September 2008, Google holds 62.9% of U.S. search market share, Yahoo! 20.2%, and Microsoft 8.5% (Comscore.com). A proposed deal between Google and a willing Yahoo! is almost universally opposed by news and advertising organizations, and was called off by Google when it was clear that both private and public anti-trust concerns were too great for the deal to advance.
Eight months later, in May of 2009, Microsoft announces the June transition of its Windows Live Search to Bing, its new “decision engine”. Bing, according to Microsoft, will be better suited to give people relevant information and aid in their decision-making. There is also an $100 million advertising campaign behind it, which might put a sizable dent in Google’s lead.
In July of 2009, the search engine market shares are basically the same as those from last September. Google’s market share has very slightly increased to 64.7%, Yahoo has dropped slightly to 19.3%, and Microsoft’s Bing is holding almost steady at 8.9% (comScore.com).
The Microsoft-Yahoo! Deal
On July 29th, Yahoo! and Microsoft announce a deal: Microsoft will power Yahoo! search while Yahoo! will become the exclusive worldwide relationship sales force for both companies’ search advertisers. This deal, hot on the heels of Microsoft’s Bing announcement and push, leads people to speculate that the landscape of search could rapidly be changing.
Well, not so fast: The Microsoft – Yahoo! deal has to first be approved by the Department of Justice for the same anti-trust issues as the Yahoo! – Google proposal, and this could take months.
Also, the deal between Microsoft and Yahoo! is not as simple or cooperative as at first appears. On August 24th, the senior vice president of Yahoo! stated his company’s renewed intention to compete against both Google and Microsoft.
“We are not a version of Bing,” said PR to reporters at the Yahoo! headquarters. “We are Yahoo and that will continue…We collaborate on the back-end but we are competitors on the front-end,” he said.
This sounds like a very confusing relationship, and they have only just started dating.
What Does This Mean for Advertisers & SEO?
I’d recommend, in light of all the recent search news, to simply wait and see what happens. Nothing much has changed at the moment, except for the stated intention of the two parties. It’s too early to start categorizing how internet advertising and SEO has changed; the partnership is far from being a done deal, and even assuming it is approved, it may change substantially in the coming months.
There are a few things I’d recommend doing that are loosely based on this news, but they are things I’d recommend anyway. If you aren’t already advertising on Microsoft’s adCenter or Yahoo Search Marketing (YSM), I’d recommend trying them. The large ad campaign, news releases, and the greater awareness of Bing will mean increased traffic in the coming months. Yahoo! might also benefit from the additional press and attention.
It might be a good time to check out the costs-per-click(CPC) for your specific business campaign, and take advantage of the lower amount of competition compared to the crowded Google marketplace. If you advertise on Bing, search for coupons that can be used in their adCenter; there are many promotional deals circulating at the moment.
Despite the fact that Google still has an overwhelming lead, a current combined market share of 28% for Yahoo! and Bing is still a lot of searches. Based on the July total of 13.6 billion search queries (based on comScore stats for U.S.), that’s 3.8 billion searches in one month. If you’re not swayed by the numbers alone, acquainting yourself with the paid ad structures of these companies will mean you’re one step ahead of the game if those engines increase greatly in popularity.
There is also a report from Microsoft that conversion rates for Bing are greater than those of Google. An independent report from advertising network Chitika, released in July, also supports this, showing that people who land on sites using organic searches via Bing are 55% more likely to click on an advertisement, compared with users of Google.
In my opinion, though, this should be taken with a grain of salt; Bing is new, and any reports on the initial actions of users could be chalked up to mere exploration-clicking. Again, only time will tell how powerful these trends will be.
As for SEO concerns, the algorithms of the top three search engines are too much in flux to advocate a specific strategy other than the recommended current best practices. Google is currently in the beta testing stages of its soon-to-be-released ‘Caffeine’ search engine (which will operate “underneath-the-hood” and probably go unnoticed by most.) Bing is getting the kinks out of its programming, and will probably be undergoing a lot of change in the next few months.
You can find a lot of current information on the differences between all three engines’ search results if you look. (Google has a preference for exact keyword matches , whereas Bing and Yahoo! favor keyword matches in the domain and subdomain URLs. Also, Bing is cutting out a lot of clutter, returning a slim fraction of the search results as the other two.) My point is that the companies will all be undergoing such massive flux in the next few months that it doesn’t make sense to change your SEO strategies based on factors that might be very temporary.
I believe that barring some competitive vertical search engines (search engines that are focused on a specific industry or specialty) that might change the playing field, it is unlikely that general SEO practices will be significantly altered in the near future. Once the search engines become more genuinely differentiated, and it is obvious they will stay that way, then would be the time to study the different methods of optimizing for their specific algorithms.
I’d recommend keeping up-to-date on the news releases that come out regarding the search engines. I do this by searching for ‘bing yahoo google’ and, in advanced options, changing the search function to be the most recent results. If you want steady updates, you can also set up Google Alerts, which will send you daily or as-it-happens news on the subject of your choice. These are good strategies with which to stay in the loop, and it will ensure that you’re prepared for any big developments. For more specific details on search traffic, check comScore.com for the latest statistics.
The search engine war is definitely heating up, but bear in mind that Google is still far in the lead, and will be for quite some time. It’s going to be hard to dislodge a market awareness so extensive that ‘Googling’ has entered the national lexicon. Keep the most up-to-date facts in mind when contemplating revamping your advertising strategies, and don’t pay heed to excitement that ignores the bigger picture.

China Unicom Signs Three-Year iPhone Deal

Hong Kong-based telco China Unicom has confirmed it will distribute Apple’s iPhone across China in a three-year deal starting in Q4 this year.Reports have suggested that a deal was signed weeks ago, but the company made it official in its H109 interim results released Friday.

News emerged two weeks ago that the Unicom has bought some five million 8Gb and 16Gb iPhone handsets for $1.46 billion—suggesting Unicom will buy the phones and sell them on a wholesale basis, rather then share revenue with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) as operators in others countries do. The company has confirmed the relationship will be on a wholesale basis, according to WSJ.com.
State-owned China Unicom isn’t the country’s biggest mobile operator: with 140 million subscribers—it added seven million in the first half the year—Unicom still lags behind China Mobile which has 415 million. But Unicom will launch a 3G network “within the year” using the WCDMA standard, making it compatible with the iPhone’s data roaming. WSJ.com reports that the Chinese iPhone will be stripped of its wifi connectivity—at least initially—to comply with strict state telecommunications rules.
Unicom’s first half revenue fell 6.3 percent to 76.32 billion yuan ($11.1 billion) while profits dropped 42 percent to ($969 million), due to falls in fixed line income.

Funny war of search engines in China!

Recently I've just found an very funny story about a war of search engines in China! First I have to tell you something about SB.You know,it's not Nike SB,but Idiot in Chinese! So when when you are in China and meet Chinese saying SB,they are swearing at somebody!
Ok,let's get back to the topic about the war of search engines. If you search SB in Google China or Bing China, you'll find that the first that appears in the initial page is Baidu.com,the most popular search engine in China. But when you search SB in Baidu or Sousou(another popular search engine in China),you'll find that they are directed to Google China.I don't know which part it is that first started this interesting war,but it's really a great fun for us outsiders because SB has got no relationship with these search engines.
VS
Besides, this war seems to have involved two parties, one is Chinese search engines, the other overseas search engines(without Yahoo China).Chinese search engines are united to fight against overseas search engines in this boring war, which just provides us a joke! What we really need is a pure search engine serving Chinese! No one of them have offered us this basic service yet because when you search for a keyword, what you get in the first page of searching is a whole load of crap!
All of them are SBs(Idiots)

Why Zhu Rongji remains popular in China

Zhu Rongji (朱镕基), China’s former Premier (the second-ranking leader), was a popular statesman praised for high moral standing, general truthfulness, resolute behavior, work ethics, dedication towards the economic reform and intolerance of corruption. He attempted, with much success, to resolve many deep-seated problems in China. For instance, under his leadership, a large number of state-owned enterprises were modernized, remarkably without creating huge amount of unemployment or major social disorder. His style of speech was also memorable, as he was one of the few Chinese leaders who did not stick to a script. As a result, frank, memorable and even touching moments abounded in many of his press conferences.
On September 2, more than six years after Zhu retired, a book titled “Zhu Rongji in Press Conference” (朱镕基答记者问) was published. It presented the archived transcriptions of all major press conferences Zhu attended during his term as the Vice Premier and the Premier. The book immediately became such a hit, that the publisher announced that sales would soon top one million, an enviable feat in the printing industry.
For the record, Zhu deliberately avoided public attention after his retirement. For instance, even as a former Premier, he did not attend either the opening or closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics. He refused to read the biography his cousin had written for him. As for the current collection, he requested that his name on the book cover should be printed in a less noticeable format than “in Press Conference” (答记者问), as has been done. All these acts gave people a strong impression of his self-discipline and humility.
However, the new book has propelled Zhu back into public’s gaze. Both the market reception and internet  interest in this book have proved that even though Zhu has retreated from the limelight for so many years, his popularity is far from waning.
This can be reflected in blogger Jia Junjun's summing-up of Zhu Rongji's life:
朱熔基是那种真金不怕火炼的实干家,经得起时间检验。相信随着时局推移,朱熔基的价值和意义会更加凸显。朱熔基是当今政坛的一股清风;他的出现,是体制内的异数;朱熔基的干才胆魄,朱熔基的亲民作风,朱熔基的清廉志洁,善于面对公众,雷厉风行的行政风格,对贪官庸吏的不留情面,仿佛都不属于这个时代,不属于这个时期的中国。朱熔基是超出于时代的伟人。
Zhu Rongji is a true leader and his reputation will stand the test of time. I believe as time moves on, the legacy of Zhu Rongji will become more obvious. Zhu Rongji was once a refreshing breeze in the current political system. He was a class of his own. His courage, his close interaction with the common people, his incorruptibility, his self-composure in front of the public, his steadfast managerial style and his lack of mercy for the corrupt and  mediocre officials — all of them regrettably do not belong to this age, or in this age's China. Zhu Rongji was a great man who was situated before his time.
Another netizen commented that:
朱总理的胆略、智慧、谐趣幽默、能力、视野在当今世上无谁能敌!
At present, nobody can surpass Premier Zhu’s courage, wisdom, sense of humor, ability and vision!
In addition, shorter praises such as “He was a great Premier” and “People love you” float everywhere in the online community.
Why is Zhu Rongji so popular after so many years? Why do people still think so highly of him even though they did not technically vote for him? Best explanation seems to be that his is so special.
In a way, Zhu Rongji, embodies people’s aspirations for a type of politician that Chinese bureaucracy so seldom produce. Zhu’s best qualities, such as frankness, openness and responsibility, run counter to most people’s perception of Chinese government officials. So in truth, the continuing enthusiasm for Zhu Rongji not only stems from a degree of nostalgia, but also from the wish to have more people like him in the government now! In an indirect but obvious way, such enthusiasm shows the strong popular support for deeper, braver and more substantial reforms, for more transparency, for the fight against corruption and for more government accountability.
In ending, I would like to translate some of the most memorable quotes from Zhu Rongji, so that you may have a better picture of who he is and why people still miss him.
反腐败要先打老虎后打狼,对老虎绝不能姑息养奸,准备好一百口棺材,也有我的一口。无非是个同归于尽,却换来国家的长久稳定发展和老百姓对我们事业的信心。
In the war against corruption, we should beat the (stronger) tiger before beating the (weaker) wolves. As for the tiger, we should never show mercy. Let us prepare one hundred coffins, including one for me. The worst case is only a destruction of them and me, but what is that is in exchange is the long-term stability and development of our nation and people’s confidence in our cause.
As for when will I retire and what I will do after my retirement, I already spoke about that in 1998. I said I would march on courageously. I would not look back. I would work hard and would not cease till my death. Today, I am still keeping that promise! However you should not misunderstand me. “Not cease till my death” does not mean that if I am not dead I will stick to this chair of premiership. This is not what I mean! I only want to say that as long as I am alive and have one more breath, I will “work hard and will not cease till my death”.
我只希望在我卸任以后,全国人民能说一句,他是一个清官,不是贪官,我就很满意了。那么再看开一点说,朱镕基还是办一点实事,哎呀,我就谢天谢地了!
I only wish that after my retirement, people from all over the country could say, he is a good official, not a corrupt one. Then I will be more than satisfied. If they could take it easier, and say, Zhu Rongji really did something, then I will thank the heaven and the earth!

Former Premier Zhu Rongji Missed by Chinese

Zhu Rongji retired from his post as the former Premier in 2003 and have appeared in the public rarely since then. Many Chinese noticed his brief appearance on camera at the 2009 National Day Parade to celebrate the New China’s 60 year anniversary. But China National Media CCTV did not give this former leader much coverage, which annoyed many Chinese.

As a renowned  and prominent reformer in mainland China,Zhu Rongji didn't get along well with former Chinese President Jiang Zemin. It is said that they didn't reach agreement in China's reforming in the late 1990s.At that time,China is increasingly facing lots of problems in economy and needs imperative reforms. With a population of 1.3 billion,it was very difficult for those leaders to make an agreement on how to start reforming.Zhu insisted a tough reforming on State-owned enterprises(SOEs),most of which were low in efficiency and had been losing money for years.I have to say it's a huge and tough project because a reform in SEOs will definitely result in a higher unemployment, which might made unrest in China.Zhu's insist on a tough reforming made his relationship with then President Jiang Zemin testy.

Why is it that this year’s National Day 60th anniversary military parade left us not with that deep sense of national prestige and military might but rather more regret and hurt??During the People’s Republic of China’s 60th Anniversary military parade, we saw Premier Zhu !! He already has a head full of silver hair, silently, peacefully standing on the farthest side!!!The Premier is old, a head full of silver hair, silently choosing to stand on the farthest side!! Even the media’s cameras treat him with such stinginess!! Just a flash [of him] before moving on!!!The Premier, it has been too long too long since he has appeared in the public eye and the media’s lenses!!Suddenly seeing the Premier’s head full of silver hair!! My eyes immediately became wet!! Premier, the hero of a generation!! Premier, now old!!Why did the media treat this old man with such stinginess? Could the camera not have stopped a few more seconds???
Just a flash before moving on!!
Premier Zhu, our beloved Premier!!!
The people will not forget you old man!!!
The ordinary common people miss you old man!!!
May the Premier be healthy and live a long life!!!

By the way,do you know what's the most hottest and best-selling book in China now?Let me tell you.The book is all about Zhu Rongji's answers to reporters in his post as Chinese Premier. This book is tagged ¥59,which is relatively expensive in China. But I have to say, this book is out of sale the first day it is published. And now people are hunting  everywhere for the book. You know,Zhu is also famous for his humor.I wish someday there'll be an English version. Then you could find how great this Chinese man is!
Best wishes to this Premier Zhu!

Liu Xiang got encouraged by Chinese President Hu Jintao Twice!

Chinese athlete Liu Xiang told reporters that he was encouraged by Chinese President Hu Jintao Twice!Liu Xiang was once the most famous and admired athlete in China. But his quit in Beijing Olympics drove Liu Xiang to the bottom of his career. Some people who wanted to got something from the incident abused Liu Xiang and that has got Liu Xiang depressed. But fortunately Liu didn't gave up.He took second place in 2009 Shanghai Golden Grand Prix.

Returning to the field after a 13-month absence, 110m hurdler and former World record holder Liu Xiang placed second tonight in a photo finish. The 2004 Athens Olympic gold medallist and 2007 World champion got back in the game with this comeback, his first race since he was forced to pull out of his first round heat at Beijing Olympics due to an Achilles tendon injury.
A tsunami of cheers and applause swept the stadium as the Shanghai native crossed the finish line abreast of American Terrence Trammell in 13.15. Trammell, having become familiar with second places at the 2007 and 2009 World championships, as well as in the 2000 and 2004 Olympics was awarded first this time. Chinese hurdler Shi Dongpeng, a semi-finalist in Beijing, came in third with a 13.34. Liu Xiang's old adversary American 1996 Olympic and four-time World champion Allen Johnson, whom Liu Xiang beat for gold at the Shanghai meetings in 2005 and 2006, placed fourth with a 13.47.
Though Liu Xiang carries the dreams of an entire nation, pressure did not get to him tonight, in fact all three Chinese runners fared well, delivering season bests, with eighteen-year-old Xie Wenjun placing seventh with 13.53.
Now Liu is preparing for the 11th National Games in China.I think he could achieve a good result in the game!I really wish that Liu could continue his success in his career since now Liu Xiang is still young! He could get much more in the future! Let's bless him!

Best Google Adsense Tips

The Amazing Google Adsense Program is today towering like a Colossus in the
Internet. It has helped some smart Internet Marketers to make huge amounts
of money, while at the same time it is interesting to note that many new
Internet Marketers and Internet Home-Based Business Entrepreneurs are
receiving their first pay check from Google Adsense rather than the main
affiliate program.

Adsense Tip: What is is Google Adsense:
Google Adsense is a program designed by Google that can generate advertising
revenue for your website. Relevant Text and Image ads. targeted to your
website content are delivered by Google. Additionally if you place a Google
Search Box in your website, relevant text ads. are displayed when a search
request is made by a website visitor. Google will pay you for all valid clicks.
made by your website visitors on the ads. or search results pages. Another
new addition is the Google Adsense Referrals Feature , whereby you can
generate additional income by displaying Google’s Referral Buttons on your
web pages.

Adsense Tip: How to get started with Google Adsense:
You have to apply to Google Adsense by completing an online application form
at https://www.google.com/adsense. Once the application is approved, you will
be able to participate. You then have to copy and paste a HTML code that is
provided by Google Adsense into your web pages. The code creates relevant
ads. to the content of the page. When a visitor clicks on it Google pays you.

Adsense Tip: Who can participate in Google Adsense:
Anyone who has a website can join the Adsense program but not adult and hate sites. You have to comply with Google's program policies. It is Free to join. Google has a massive advertiser base and they have ads. on the ready for all categories of businesses. They also have ads. ready to match different types of content sites, from a pet store site to that of a highly sophisticated

technological site.

Google Adsense can be used in many languages. It is also targeted
geographically and hence Global business can take advantage of this and
webmasters living in any part of the world can participate.

Adsense Tip: Why Participate in Google Adsense:
The obvious answer is to make money from home. It does not cost you
anything if you have a website, so why miss the opportunity to make money
from home. Google pays you monthly if your earnings reach $100.The Google
Adsense checks are a blessing to a large number of newbies with low budgets
eager to make money from home. Some webmasters feel that Adsense ads.
can lead their visitors away from their site. This possibility is there but if you
have a website with good content they will always come back.

Adsense Tip: When to Participate in Google Adsense:
The Adsense program is Web related and hence you must have a website to
participate. Once your website is ready and the contents optimized, you can
submit your application. The Adsense program is not restricted only to high
page rank sites as some seem to think.
Google approves most of the sites but ensures that they are of acceptable
standard. Normally they are approved within 2-3 days. Once approved you can
immediately participate in the Adsense program by logging into your account.

Adsense Tip: Where to place Google Adsense ads. in your Website.
The Adsense ads. can be placed anywhere in your web pages, but there are
specific areas in your web pages that are recommended by Google which have
been found to generate more clicks.
According to Google and our own experience:

Ads placed above the fold tend to perform better than those below the fold.

Ads placed near rich content and navigational aids usually do well

Ads placed at the top of the page and at the left generally perform better than others.

Ads at the bottom of long articles and those that are integrated or merge with the content too perform very well.

Of course there are other strategies, such as creating high paying keyword
content pages to suit individual sites and also generating more traffic to your
site. These have to be implemented too, to ensure success.
The Google Adsense Program has come to stay. It is a great way to earn an
additional income for most webmasters and a big income for some who have
made the Adsense Program as the main source of income. Which ever way you
look at it the Adsense Program is a happy hunting ground for all and these Tips
can help you get started.

Dalai Lama’s Twitter account suspended!

It might have angered many of Tibetans, when Twitter suspended the account of the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Some of the Tibetans might be viewing it a step taken under the Chinese pressure. Well, actually the reason of suspending Dalai Lama’s account was not political.

San Francisco, California based social networking and micro-blogging service, Twitter definitely did suspend an account running under the name of the Dalai Lama, but the account was fake.

According to Twitter, the account was bogus and it was suspended as it violated the site’s terms of service. The account under the Dalai Lama’s name was created only a few days ago, but the account had already attracted tens of thousands of followers.

In a blog, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone wrote, “The account at OHHDL (apparently for Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama) was suspended by Twitter because it violated our Terms of Use regarding impersonation. Twitter has rules against users attempting to mislead, confuse, or deceive others” with their Twitter accounts.”

Stone explained that the account, after all, actually looked to be real: its inaugural "tweet" was, "Welcome to the official Twitter page of His Holiness the Dalai Lama--administered by The Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama."

So Tibetans, no need to get hyper! Twitter just booted out a fake Dalai Lama account from service.

Yahoo Publisher gettting out of Beta Version soon!

Great news for people outside of the USA! Yahoo Publisher Network is soon getting out of its Beta Version! It is said that Yahoo Publisher will be released world wide at the end of 2009 or the start of 2010 to compete against Google Adsense!

As you can see,Google Adsense has earned billions of dollars for Google. But Yahoo won't ignore this great revenue generating program. That's why Yahoo released its publisher in 2005. But its Beta Version is only available in the US and does not accept traffic out of the US,which is limiting the spread of Yahoo Publisher. But you won't be disappointed when it's released officially considering Yahoo's great quality.

Now you might imagine the competition between Yahoo and Google now! You know,so many instances haven shown that Imitation could also bring you much fortune. Now,it's Yahoo! People outside of the US have expected its release for a long time, including me. People in China, India, Pakistan and other countries are really crazy about it.I think you deserve the long wait.Because you'll definitely be happy joining the program!

Then what shall Google do? Could Google Adsense keep its lead in the ad market? That's really a problem. Let's just wait and see it!

Coach sues Target over bags it says are copies

Coach Inc. is suing low-price retailer Target Corp. over bags the luxury handbag maker says too closely resemble its own designs.
Coach wants Target to stop selling the bags and pay an undetermined amount in damages, injunctive relief and attorney fees, the New York-based company said in a complaint it filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan.
The bags in question resemble Coach's Ergo bags, launched in 2008 and marketed as ergonomically correct, and its Signature Patchwork bags, which have patches in different fabrics and also were introduced in 2008, Coach said.
Target began selling handbags this summer with "exact and/or confusingly similar reproductions of Coach's Ergo designs and Signature Patchwork designs," Coach claims.
Coach also sued Minneapolis-based Target in 2006 claiming the retailer was selling a copy of one of its handbags. The companies settled the case.
"We are currently looking into this situation and working with our vendor partner," said Jana O'Leary, a Target spokeswoman said in an e-mail response to a query from The Associated Press. "It always has been — and continues to be — Target's policy to respect the intellectual property rights of others."
Coach shares rose $1.17, or 3.8 percent, to close at $32.25 Monday. The stock has traded between $11.41 and $33.80 over the past year.
Target shares rose 91 cents, or 2 percent, to $46.93. The stock has traded between $25 and $49.20 over the past year.

My view on Adwords and Adsense

1. Introduction
AdWords and AdSense are both Google’s commercialized solution of disseminating advertisements online. AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads on Google’s website whilst AdSense has the similar functions in the content network which the owner intend to cooperate with Google on ads.
The AdWords was launched in 2000 and became more standardized in 2005 after the Google Advertising Professional (GAP) Program. Besides, the technology of AdSense, which operates like a subset of AdWords, originally derived from WordNet, Simpli, and finally be acquired by Google in 2003. Nowadays, it becomes Google’s flagship advertising service and the main source of revenue which is 98% of Google’s total revenue $16.4 billion in 2007.
The AdWords/AdSense works in the following way.
For advertisers:
First, advertisers do a registration to Google and choose proper keywords, placements or both of them as their AdWords. Then, advertisers should choose an AdGroup (a group of advertisers have same keywords) to join in. After ranking by Google’s AdWords server, Google disseminate the ads to search network and content network. The positions of ads are shown based on the ranking results.
For internet users:
AdWords: After internet users searched keywords on Google’s search engine, Google’s server returns search results together with the ads which appear on the top and the side bars.
AdSense: Webmasters create their web pages with a piece of Javascript code, which create the relationship between web masters’ web pages and Google’s AdWords Server, in flexible position. After internet users make a request for the page, this piece of code can get ads from Google’s AdWords Server and return the page together with ads which is related to the content of this web page.
2. AdWord/AdSense Ranking Mechanism
Ads are positioned on search and content pages based on their Ad Rank. The ad with the highest Ad Rank appears in the first position, and so on down the page. The ranking is based not only the cost-per-click or content bid, which is referred to Generalized Second-Price Auction, but also the ‘Quality Score’, which is a dynamic variable calculated for each keywords. Different types of AdWords have different calculation of the ‘Quality Score’.
a) Keyword-targeted ads on Google and the search network
Ad Rank = CPC bid × Quality Score
The ‘Quality Score’ is calculated by historical click through rate (CTR) of the keyword and the matched ad on Google, an advertiser's account history, the historical CTR of the display URLs in the ad group, the relevance of the keyword to the ads in its ad group, the relevance of the keyword and the matched ad to the search query, and other relevance factors as determined by Google.
b) Keyword-targeted ads on the content network
Ad Rank = content bid × Quality Score
The ‘Quality Score’ is calculated by the ad's past performance on the site in question, the relevance of the ads and keywords in the ad group to the site, a landing page quality and other relevance factors.
c) Placement-targeted ads on the content network
Ad Rank = bid × Quality Score
The Quality Score for determining if a placement-targeted ad will appear on a particular site depends on the campaign's different types of bidding. If the campaign uses cost-per-thousand-impressions (CPM) bidding, Quality Score is based on the quality of your landing page. If the campaign uses cost-per-click (CPC) bidding, Quality Score is based on the historical CTR of the ad on this and similar sites and the quality of your landing page
Quality Score is calculated every time your keyword matches a search query. i.e. Every time your keyword has the potential to trigger an ad. So it ensures that quality plays an important role in ranking and a fairly competition.
3. “Generalized Second-Price” auction
The GSP auction is used by search engines (Google & Yahoo) for selling online advertising and for multi-slot auction as their bidding mechanism. Advertisers submit bids stating their maximum payment per click on a certain keyword and the advertiser win the slot i pays the price of slot i+1 plus a minimum increment. It may become Vickrey auction when there is only one slot available. There is not best dominate strategy include true-telling in GSP because advertisers must consider whether the payoff in the auction is reasonable.
4. Summary
AdWords and AdSense changes the mode of advertisements from all audiences online to a certain group audiences who really concerned about these ads which Google provided. It relies on its complex fairly ranking mechanism. Nowadays, more and more search engines implement their ads server and operate the similar way of Google’s AdWords and AdSense.
